About the Doctor

Heather K. Burch, DMD, MS

For eight years, Dr. Heather K. Burch has been providing families with exceptional orthodontic care. Highly educated, she went to undergraduate school at the University of Florida and completed dental school and her residency there as well. During her three-year residency, Dr. Burch earned her master’s degree and Certificate in Orthodontics. Her research was in the field of cleft lip and palate.

After graduating, Dr. Burch practiced orthodontics in Panama City as an associate with a local orthodontist for a year. She then opened her practice July 21, 2003.

Dr. Burch feels it is important to stay on the cutting edge of orthodontics. Thus, she maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations to keep up to date on the latest techniques and technology. She is board-eligible with The American Board of Orthodontics and is the exiting President of the Leon County Dental Association.

To give back to her local community, Dr. Burch has given lectures to the local hygiene association concerning the growth of the jaws, to local schools on oral hygiene and to the area rotary clubs on the early detection of oral cancer. In addition, she is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the upcoming President of the Sunrise Rotary Club. She is also a board member for Chipola College’s Foundation Board. She is also on the board for the Pregnancy Help and Information Center.

In her personal life, Dr. Burch is married to Allen Burch, the principal at Lincoln High School. She has two beautiful children. Emma is 9 years old, and Zachary was born in March 2009.
